When Chris Bosh isn’t 100%, like in after a return from injury, he seems to lose his ability to impose his will on the other team. (Not really a surprise.)
This shows in a decline in blocks, steals, boards, and to a lesser extent scoring. (Like now.)
In the last 2 games, the Raptors have gone to Bosh in the 4th and he hasn’t been able to over-power the defense like he was earlier in the season.
Against Denver, Nene was able to hold him at bay. The Heat used Haslem and a packed in defense to eliminate plays in the paint for Bosh.
But this does beg the question, why can’t the Raptors adapt and play like they did in the 3rd quarter against the Heat with ball movement and 3-point shots?
Isn’t the object to create the best shot possible? Not force things into your star player and hope he’s “got it” to win you the game.
We have seen this story before.
If the Raptors don’t adapt to where their star player is in terms of current ability and to what opposing defenses are giving them – they won’t beat another half-decent team this season!

raps are finished, steve. they’ll fold to charlotte, with the score being the same as the blowout earlier this season.
Could easily happen. These Raptors have been fragile most of the season.
But there is still hope. These same Raptors have the ability to put up 120 against anybody.
hm. I was wrong. That is the frustrating part about this team – you never know which one is going to show up! Happy to see Turk coming off the bench. He should always be their 6th man, although pretty expensive asset to have sitting on the bench!
Whatever it takes!
Teams that win usually have expensive 6th & 7th men coming off the bench.
Raps still need more veteran/experienced depth and that comes at a cost.
